Communication and Dynamics of Plant Cell Compartments

Join the RTG 2498

We are always looking for scientists who would like to contribute to our community. Become part of the RTG 2498 and benefit from the experience and expertise of the RTG members and regular RTG internal events.

General Information for PhD students

The basic requirement for any association is a strong interest in research focusing on dynamics and communication of plant cell compartments.

PhD students in the beginning of their thesis (ideally in their first year) can apply for a full association in the RTG 2498. Fully associated PhD students have to fulfill the same obligations as the internal PhD students and receive similar financial and educational benefits.

In the end of their thesis fully associated PhD students gain a certificate that proofs the participation in the structured education program.

Benefits and Responsibilities

The RTG ensures that the fully associated PhD students receive the best possible supervision and individual support during their thesis period. Fully associated PhD students are allowed to attend and contribute to all RTG internal events and trainings. Additional to that associated PhD students can be supported financially to attend workshops and conferences of educational and scientific interest.

The Supervision Agreement of the RTG 2498 stipulates the responsibilities of the PhD students and of the supervisors respectively. To receive the entirety support of the RTG fully associated PhD students have to comply with the supervision agreement.
