Research Training Group 2498

Communication and Dynamics of Plant Cell Compartments

About

“The aim is to prepare doctoral researchers for the complexities of the job market in science and academics and simultaneously to encourage early scientific independence.”

(DFG, Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft)

The Research Training Group (RTG) 2498 is a structured qualification program, funded by the DFG. The participation in the RTG shall prepare the PhD-students for future leading roles within or outside of science by carrying out challenging projects in a team-oriented manner.

Participation of contributing institutes from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry provides graduate students a stimulating and interdisciplinary scientific environment with access to divers methodological and instrumental competencies.

The common research focus is on the dynamics and communication of plant cell compartments. The research topic is ideal to promote cooperative research between the groups, as the interdependencies between the organelles are unraveled.
