On 23 February thematically associated PhD student of the RTG, Franziska Daamen (P10A), completed her PhD with a fabulous defense. Today she was honored with a well deserved summa cum laude, the highest award level of a dissertation in Germany, for her magnificent thesis about the role of Phosphoinositides in modulating auxin-dependent transcription by controlling the histone acetyltransferase GCN5 in Arabidopsis. During her PhD period she achieved great research results and will continue her scientific work in the group of Prof. Ingo Heilmann and Dr. Mareike Heilmann at the Institute of Plant Biochemistry. Congratulations Dr. Franzi!!
